If you love being near water, then this is the city for you. “Minneapolis” literally means “Water City” and it lies on both banks of the Mississippi River. It’s the larger of the Twin Cities and remains the biggest city in Minnesota. Stadium View Apartments is located near the University of Minnesota and is accessible to a wide range of cultural and leisure activities. You may catch some “Purple Rain” since Minneapolis was the home of the late, great musician Prince.

The Walker Art Center is one of the five largest Modern Art museums in the U.S., and displays a variety of permanent and visiting art collections. The 11-acre Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is in the heart of the city, with the famous Spoonbridge and Cherry being a highlight among the over 40 sculptures on display. It’s a perfect place to connect art and greenspace. In 1915, the Minneapolis Institute of Art was built, and it has grown to become the largest museum in Minneapolis. Architecture lovers will enjoy the Weisman Art Museum designed by famous architect Frank Gehry, which is located right on the University of Minnesota campus. In 2015, The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District was voted by USA Today as the nation's best arts district, with over 400 independent artists and a slew of annual events. You don’t need to travel to New York City or Chicago to see great theatre. Minneapolis is second only to New York in terms of live theatre per capita. The Guthrie Theater is the city’s biggest theatre company and its location is top notch, with views overlooking the Mississippi River.

Catch a foul ball in “Twins Territory” while watching the Minnesota Twins play at Target Field, which was named by ESPN as the #1 stadium experience in the U.S. Catch a Minnesota Vikings football game and grab some friends for a fast-paced Minnesota Timberwolves basketball game.

Get your outdoor adventure on while hiking to a 53-foot waterfall at Minnehaha Regional Park, one of the city’s oldest and most popular parks. Sink your feet in the sand at Lake Calhoun, which looks more like a beach than a lake. Just south of Lake Calhoun is Lake Harriet, where visitors can soak up soothing views, go sailing or swim. In addition, there are plenty of other parks to visit that host a yearly Music & Movies Series that’s free to the public.

The action doesn’t stop in the colder months. Wintertime in Minneapolis provides plenty of opportunities to go skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snow tubing, sledding and ice fishing.

The closest airport to Stadium View is Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.
